Visualize Your Lists - A Very Cool Way to Map Your Lists

Yesterday I had the bright idea that I wanted to share a list of schools with clients relocating to the Iowa City area. We all know how important schools are when it comes to moving and I'm trying to come up with ideas that are genuinely useful to folks relocating... A list is good, but how could I make my list interesting? That was the question. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I did some brainstorming and decided there must be a program out there to help me visualize this list. I was right, there is and here it is...MapAList.com

This is a link to the full page version of the map I created. Just like with my new graphs in my market reports, this is a first attempt. I'm pretty sure I'll come up with more useful ways to use it as I get more adept with it. (FYI, to use the program you need to have a Google account - It only works with Google Docs).

Below is an iframe that can be inserted on posts and in website pages.

I'm so impressed with this I needed to share this neat tool with you all right away. Let me know what you think...

Very nice - I've got this bookmarked now and plan on using it. It's hard to keep up with everything that might make our work go just a bit smoother and I rely on Active Rain to keep me informed.

Hi Denise ~ Psyched to learn about this site.  I did my first little map for my blog the other day and I have to say it was a somewhat frustrating process. I found it very interesting to see how many programs there are out there that work with Google maps.  Hadn't found this one though - thanks!

Hi Guys, Thanks for stopping by. Yep, I was so impressed with this I had to blog about it right away. Glad you like it too. I haven't tested it fully yet Liz, but up to now found it pretty easy to use. (Made a couple of stupid mistakes out of the gate, but that was me not paying attention and had nothing to do with the program). From what I can see it works best in Firefox, which suits me just fine, because that's my browser of choice anyway.
