Almost Wordless Wednesday. It's Cold in Coralville today... And here's someone who is even less impressed than me!

It's cold in Coralville again today... 5° Fahrenheit to be precise.  (-15° Celcius). We have another winter storm warning from 6.00pm Wednesday through Thursday. I say another, because I'm already having trouble keeping up with how many winter storms we've had this winter!

Now if you think I'm unimpressed by all this cold weather, below is a photograph of a certain someone who is even less impressed than me! This is my cat Tigger and I actually think his body language says it all. He is hating this weather with a passion, (and is usually very vocal about it). He insisted on testing the deck this morning in this photo - I think he has an almost resigned look about him... (Note how he somehow manage to get snow on his face.:-)

Yes, we're awating the same storm. More cold, more wind, and more snow. I'm sooooo done with this!

Hi Denise ~ Tigger does not look enthused.  I feel bad for cats at this time of the year. My Champ will sit on any rug or piece of clothing etc on the floor - relief for his paws. We just got back from our tour of new listings. One of them was a loft with radiant heat in the concrete floor. That was one happy kitty! Wish I had it for my cat.

5 degrees and another storm on the way - yeegads! This too shall pass I guess.

It's 18 degrees here in (normally) balmy Tennessee. My poor puppy that has quite a lack of body fat is soooo unhappy. Neither one of us can wait for some warmer weather.

Hi Denise,

I hate to even mention that we are 72 today with bright sunshine and a cool breeze. Feels like beach weather though it does go down to low 40's at night.

I look at it this way, the warm weather comes at a steep price . Higher prices and higher taxes. The good part is that most of time we are not thinking about what things cost as much as what a pleasure it is not to have to fight the elements that you all have to put with.

Oddly , many many people that live here can't wait to get to the mountains to the beautiful snow peaks and Ski. But they get to go home and for those places they romanticize the weather. I grew up in the cold Midwest and I can assure you, this is better.

Empathize with your cold weather and glad I am not experiencing it.

Hi Debi ~ I agree, I'm sooo done with this! (And actually I'm a lot like my cat, I have a very low threshold when it comes to this stuff!)

Hi Liz ~ Radient heat sounds good to me too. Restoration work is finished here, but I'm waiting on my carpet and as you can imagine it's hard keeping the place warm with no carpet. As you correctly pointed out, this too shall pass. (I guess..!)

Julia ~ I can well imagine 18 degrees seems cold to your little guy. We're all waiting for spring with bated breath. Just to get you in the mood read William's comment below and it will make you feel warmer right away.:-)

William ~ I hear about people taking skiing holidays and have to say it's one of the few things I have trouble relating to. Give me sunshine and warm temperatures any day of the week! There are plenty of things I love about Iowa, but this cold weather isn't one of them! It's nice that you feel my pain. Thanks for that.

Thank you all for stopping by. It's started to snow now. It will be interesting to see how much we wake up to tomorrow...

Hi Denise,  It looks like Tiger is waiting for a mouse or bird friend to join him out there.  He's braver than my dogs who hate to go out in the cold.

Hi Gary ~ Yes I suppose he is brave. Brave enough to jump from the deck this morning when he went out for his daily test! The deck isn't that high, so he does that regularly, just not when there's snow as high as he is down there! I couldn't believe my eyes!! He's fine though - Back indoors again after ten minutes, because of course it's cold out there...
