Short term rental opportunities are in hard to find in Iowa City, and short term rentals where they have a liberal pet policy even harder! Look no further... Dolphin Lake Enclave Point offers 1 and 2 bedroom townhouse style condos for students and corporate professionals with very flexible leases. They allow pets - cats and dogs. Need it furnished? They offer that too.
Take a look at the photos. These are really nice high end apartments with a functional layout and lots of attention to detail. They have been totally remodeled inside and out and the contemporary style definitely has the "wow" factor. New heating and A/C, high end appliances - including built-in microwave and new age washer/dryer combo. Dolphin Lake Point Enclave is a gated community with many amenities.
As far as location is concerned, it's probably less than a five minute drive to downtown Iowa City. Perhaps even better, especially if you like movies, Sycamore Mall is within walking distance. At Sycamore Mall you'll find restaurants, shops and the impressive Sycamore Mall Theatres for an exceptional movie going experience.
Now when it comes to price, I have a couple of numbers for you, but would prefer you check with the owners, since I'm not actually employed by them and prices may change depending on when you read this post. At the time of this post they are charging $1,250 per month for furnished apartments for a short term lease.
(As I mentioned earlier, pets and that does include dogs, are permitted. You'd need to talk to the owners about possible size or breed restrictions). On the other end of the spectrum, a one year lease for an unfurnished apartment would be $699, (they have a special right now). For that scenario you'll need to discuss the pet deposit with the owners.
Right about now you're probably wondering why I'm writing this post, since rentals are really not my line of business. Fact is that I get many emails from people relocating to the Iowa City area looking for rentals and thought it would be a good idea to get out some information on the subject. I have friends at Dolphin Lake and was reminded yesterday about the fact that they actually offer short term leases - a rarity in the Iowa City area and definitely worth passing on.
In a future post I intend to supply links to other local property management companies with a brief description of their options, so you can watch out for that.
